Advocacy Engagement

  • Trustee, Chefs In Schools

Christina joined the Chefs In Schools Trustee Board in January 2023, due to her expertise in youth advocacy and experience leading the free school meals campaign in the UK. She’s worked to provide strategy and comms insight to CiS’ overall aims using her lived experience as a FSM student to push for a more youth-inclusive approach to the work.

  • Expert Adviser, UAMH

Christina was invited to join United Against Malnutrition and Hunger (UAMH) in January 2023, an alliance for global action on malnutrition and hunger set up by Lord Jonathan Oates. She was part of their parliamentary delegation in partnership with UNICEF Kenya to witness the integrated activity required for effective in-country interventions against malnutrition.

  • Council Member, FEC

Christina became a Food Ethics Council Member at the end of 2022, an organisation that aims to encourage the UK government and civil society to embed ethics in decisions about food and farming. Her interests involve the right to food and food citizenship, mainly within urban contexts.
